Bhargavee nilayam is a black and white Malayalam horror thriller directed by A. Vincent. It was the first Malayalam movie which shooted the story of a ghost. THe film wap based on the story, Neela velicham writtern by Vaikkom Muhammed Basheer. Basheer itself wrote the screenplay and dialogue of film. The film starts with a writer who comes to a village to write a novel. He started to stay in a house. Many years before a murder happened in that house. A girl named Bhargavi died in that house. All villagers are afraid of the house and writer. One day the writer and the spirit of Bhargavi meet together and view become friends. Bhargavi told her story to writer. She loved a young man and he was killed by the villain. Writer heard the story of Bhargavi and realised that the Bhargavi's spirit want to kill the villain. At the end of the film, the villain was killed by Bhargavi

Thoovanathumbikal is a 1987 Malayalam film directed by P. Padmarajan based on his own novel Udakappola
The film tells the story of Jayakrishnan(Mohanlal) who have two faces in city and his village. When he wap celebrating his life he found a girl Radha(Parvathy) and fell in love. Jayakrishnan want to marry Radha. But she refuses it. Jayakrishnan meet another girl named CLARA(Sumalatha). Clara led a life with many problems. To solve the problems she agrees to become a sex worker and meets Jayakrishnan as her first customer. But Jayakrishnan was attracted by Clara and he was in a disturbed mood which he spoils the virginity of Clara. After hearing more about Jayakrishnan Radha falls in love and accept his proposal. But Jayakrishnan feels that he is not the right person for RadhA and he said everything about Clara to RadhA. Clara also heard about RADHA and she realises that she is the problem between Jayakrishnan and Radha. So she leaves the city. Now Radha and Jayakrishnan get closer to each other and decides to marry.But one day Jayakrishnan got a letter from Clara. She is coming to meet Jayakrishnan. Hearing this Radha got afraid. When Jayakrishnan reaches railway station to meet Clara, Radha too reaches there with out Jayakrishnan's knowledge. At the station both get shocked by seeing that Clara and her husband(M.G Soman) coming with a baby. She tells Jayakrishnan that she had decided to marry in order to save both their futures. At the end of the movie Clara leaves Jayakrishnan's life forever...
The film have a bold subject and it was a huge hit in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Aparan is a malayalam film directed by P. Padmarajan. The film says the story of a young man who was deeply tortured by another man who actually look like him. He faces many problems created by the other. THe other was a gangster and the police is searching him. In the film, the aparan(the other) was killed by the young man. Young man's family mistook the other and the assume that the young man was dead.
The film was one of the best works of Padmarajan. The film was released on 1988.
